TOUR PACKAGES

  1. Travel and bookings:

    2. Tourist operators will be required to book the tourists and take them to the designated spots. The charges for booking and travel along-with the charges for eco-tourism spots will be collected by them. It will be responsibility of tourists operator to pick up the tourist from various spots in Mumbai and Thane.

  2. Touring hours:

    3. The tour of Sanjay Gandhi National Park normally starts at 9 a.m. from Borivali after all tourists are brought by the tourist’s buses at Sanjay Gandhi National Park Borivali. Approximately 9 hours of touring in a day is anticipated including travel time. In case of 0other package tour will start from last pick-up point at 9 a.m.

  3. Food arrangements:

Food and snacks etc. will be arranged by catering contractors. The lunch will be served in tourist center for tourist to have the enjoyment of Van Bhojan. The arrangement will depend upon the packages selected.

Tourist guides:

Guides with flair for tackling and handling the tourists will be available for guiding the tours.

PACKAGES

All the tours will be of one-day duration. Each package will have three options of fees. Package III will be a with three optional tours. The package charges are bear minimum. It includes all charges at national park and fees of experts. Trained and expert officials from forestry sector will carry out the tour.

Package-I Package - II Package – III

Upto VIIth Std. Std.VIIIth XIIth College

Students Students Students

Package-I :-This package is for the students up to VIIth Std. The itinerary of the tour will be as follows:-

It starts from Mini Train trail and covers Gandhi point. Thereafter food will be served at information center. There will be Games, Quiz, Drawing, Slide Show, & Film show. As a last item of the package there will be a round to Lion safari, Tiger safari & visit to Crocodile Park. Total tour of 7 to 8 hours.

Package Rates

Out of the following, one will have to be selected before the start of the programme.

1) Package (Inclusive of travel & food) Rs. 250 per pax.

2) Package (either with travel or food) Rs. 180 per pax.

3) Package ( without travel & food) Rs. 120 per pax.

Package II:

This package is for the students up to VIIIth to XIIth Std. The itinerary of the tour will be as follows:-

It starts with nature trail at Shilonda. Thereafter food will be taken at Bamboo hut. There will be recreational activities such as Games, Quiz, and Drawing. Thereafter students will have a round of Lion Safari, Tiger Safari and visit Crocodile Park. As a last item of the package a film show will be screened at information center. Total tour of 9 to 10 hours.

Package III:

This package is for the college students. In this package there are three options. Out of which one has to be selected.

    1. Nature Trail at bamboo hut
    2. Nature Trail at Koralai / Manpada
    3. Nature Trail at Tungareshwar

i) Nature Trail at Bamboo hut:-

It starts with nature trail, which takes to bamboo hut. It is in the thick jungle and with undulating terrain. It culminates at Jambulwad, which is the highest point in the national park. Then food will be taken at Bamboo hut. There will be games, quiz and slide show. Lion Safari, Tiger Safari and visit to Crocodile Park will be an added attraction. Total tour of 9 to 10 hours.

ii) Nature Trail at Karlai / Manpada

It starts with nature trail which culminates at Koralia / Manpada. Then food will be taken at Karlai / Manpada. Karlai is situated near Gorai Creek. It is on the Mumbai – Ahemadabad highway. Manpada is in the National Park, close to Thane on Ghodbandar road. There will be a quiz, games and other recreational activity. As a last item the Lion Safari, Tiger Safari and visit to Crocodile Park will be arranged. Total tour hours will be around 8 to 9 hours.

iii) Nature Trail at Tungareshwar

It starts with nature trail, which culminates at Bazarmal Point from which one can see the breath taking view of blazing Arabian Sea and confluence of Tansa and Vaitarna. Temple of Shiva is added attraction. Then food will be taken at Tungareshwar. Various recreational activities such as quiz, games, drawing, etc. will be taken up. Total tour hours will be around 9 to 10 hours.

Out of the three options in Package III one has to be selected. The package rates for all the options are as follows.
