This spot is with following attractions

  1. Nature Interpretation Centre:

    2. This nature interpretation center at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali depicts different aspects related to wildlife and allied forestry aspects. Various exhibits at this place along with the short notes, describes overall idea necessary for the conservation of Eco-system.

  2. Tiger Safari:

    3. Visits through protected Mini buses in the Tiger Safari developed at Sanjay Gandhi National Park are arranged every day by the wildlife wing except on weekly off on Mondays. The duration of this visit is about 30 minutes.

  3. Lion Safari:

    4. A visit though protected Mini buses to Lion Safari in Sanjay Gandhi National Park are arranged everyday except on weekly off on Mondays. The duration of this visit is about 30 minutes.

  4. Kanheri Caves:

A visit to these ancient caves for about an hour will be arranged.

Koralai Nature Interpretation Centre, Sasoopada:

This nature interpretation center developed in the Yeour Range of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park has following places of interest.

  1. Nature Trail:

    2. This nature trail is about 3 kms long from its starting point namely Sasoopada, situated on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway and is about 15 kms. from Sanjay Gandhi National Park. This trail traverses though moist mixed deciduous type of forests and through a perennial water hole namely "Karambel che pani". On reaching about half way through the trail a point named as Salim Ali point is the best location for bird watching. The trail on either side has dense forests of miscellaneous species along with rich and diverse groundflora. This patch of forest is declared as Medicinal Plants Conservation Area by the Forest Department. The community at Sasoopada sells seedlings of a few medicinal plants.

  2. Interpretation Centre:

    This interpretation center is under development at present, however the depiction of Mangrove species with artificial plants has been completed, it is also proposed to develop a small aquarium of local fish species found in the Vasai creek, which is just adjacent to this trail.

Tungareshwar Eco-tourist Centre:

This center of the Thane Project Division of F.D.C.M.Ltd. has natural advantage of having a developed jeep able road because of presence of Tungareshwar temple and Ashram in the forest area.

    2. A nature trail traversing through dense moist mixed deciduous forests on either side along with rich and diverse ground flora will be of interest to the school and collage students to study the various aspects of forests.

  2. Identification of flora:


    3. This activity will considered for the research purpose only. For general purpose.

  3. Bazarmal Point

    This point is the end point of the trail and a beautiful sight of Arabian Sea; confluence of Vaitarna and Tansa rivers and estuary formation is a picturesque scene from this spot and will be also of interest for nature photographing.
